Apologies for it not being 100% lined-up, the current Postcards template is slightly different to the original format, after I changed my version of Photoshop.
I'm half-tempted to get a handful of shots printed on coffee mugs to amuse myself, give away to guildies, and award in future competitions, etc.
That compilation, or a reader-selected compilation, on approx. 24 inch (2 ft) X 36 inch (3 ft) wall poster, of those postcards? Or even bigger? 36 x 48?
For like, maybe a $10-$15 "donation" to your site (since I don't think you can technically "sell" anything from WoW...but I may be wrong...
I would SO purchase a wall poster and frame it. I'm just saying. My desktop still has that Deepholm screenshot because it's so amazing!
Ooh, now that's a great idea! People have mentioned being able to buy poster-size versions of shots in the past but I've shyed away from it for the murky legal reasons you mentioned, as well as I've never been convinced that the shots "work" much larger.
But a compilation poster I could totally get behind! Maybe a 4x4 grid at original size, edited and recoloured to Postcards style and then all given the new template... gotta be worth a try at least.
Not sure I'd want to incur the wrath of Blizzard for selling them, but maybe a kind reader who receives one could perhaps gift me a time code from the kindness of their heart :'D
I'd quite like to produce a "greatest hits" set at actual Postcard size (and that's probably the size I'd expand them to on a multi-shot poster). I'll have a chat with a designer in the week!
